Tallgrass Title is a full-service title insurance and escrow company proudly serving Kansas and Missouri. We specialize in providing reliable, secure, and efficient title solutions for homebuyers, sellers, and real estate professionals. With years of industry expertise, our team is committed to making every real estate transaction seamless and stress-free. Our company has grown, and we are seeking an organized and thorough Title Examiner to join our Manhattan office! In this role, you'll search historical and current records with the county offices to determine ownership, liens, and encumbrances associated with the subject property. You'll also determine if title insurance can be issued based on the title search and review what requirements are needed to issue clear title to the potential new owner. This role requires coordination and cooperation with the closing department, fellow examiners, and underwriting staff as needed to resolve complex title defects. Completion of these tasks requires the utmost attention to detail. Tallgrass Title thrives on creative innovation, and the ideal candidate will strive to remove clutter, focusing on what matters most. They must carry themselves with gracious professionalism and provide humble, high-quality title examination with kindness, cooperation, respect, and empathy for others. The ideal candidate must also possess a driven and eager to succeed mentality that not only thrives on hitting personal and company goals but also pushes for growth. We provide our team with competitive pay, a clear and functional company system, benefits, retirement savings, and paid time off. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working with records, legal documents, piecing puzzles together, and take pride in delivering a polished, professional experience, we'd love to hear from you! Responsibilities Search public records with all county offices where the subject property is located. Travel to the various counties to perform on site searches of county records as needed. Relay information clearly and accurately with team members. Assist in reviewing others' work as required to ensure accurate and timely reports are being generated in the department. Maintain and update records as required according to company standards. Working knowledge of state-specific title standards and legal descriptions. Assist other production team members with workloads to ensure turn times are met. All other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required; further education or certification in office administration is a plus. Title producer license preferred. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Organizational skills to maintain records and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and the ability to learn specialized software. Customer service-oriented attitude with the ability to interact professionally with team members. Dependability and flexibility to manage errands and additional tasks as needed. Title Licensing is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
