Revit Drafter / Structural or Geotechnical Engineering

Location: Manhattan, New York, NY

Salary: $85,000-$105,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Opportunity

An established, technically focused engineering consultancy in Manhattan is seeking a Revit Drafter to support its growing team on complex structural and geotechnical engineering projects.

This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on challenging projects across New York City, contributing to the development of detailed construction drawings and coordinated engineering documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong Revit skills and previous experience working within either structural engineering or geotechnical engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed engineering drawings and models using Revit.
• Produce plans, sections, elevations, details, and construction documentation for structural or geotechnical engineering projects.
• Work closely with engineers and project managers to translate engineering designs into accurate drawings.
• Support projects involving foundations, excavation support systems, retaining structures, and other structural or geotechnical elements.
• Review drawings for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate drawings and models with other engineering disciplines and project teams.
• Incorporate design revisions, respond to engineering comments, and maintain drawing standards throughout project delivery.
• Assist with the preparation of construction documents and drawing packages for major urban projects.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Revit Drafter, Structural Drafter, Geotechnical Drafter, or in a similar engineering drafting role.
• Revit experience is required.
• Previous experience in either structural engineering or geotechnical engineering is essential .
• Understanding of engineering drawings, construction documentation, and technical detailing.
• Familiarity with foundations, retaining structures, excavation support, or other structural/geotechnical systems is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret engineering markups and work closely with engineers to develop accurate drawings.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• AutoCAD experience is beneficial.
